Barney O. Browne grew up not sure of the existence of God. His strong interest in science and the natural world led him to initially pursue geology in college. Halfway through his junior year he changed his major to business. This led to a twenty-eight-year career with IBM where Barney learned to apply critical-thinking and systems-thinking skills. It is with these skills that, in his late thirties, Barney detected serious flaws in his beliefs about origin-of-life science and the existence of God. This led him to reconsider the Bible, to discover that the God of the Bible is real, and then to put His faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at age forty.

Barney and his wife Heidi reside near Green Bay, Wisconsin. They have three married children. In addition to self-publishing books, Barney works with a team of men who lead Bible studies that focus on teaching a biblical worldview and encouraging growth in spiritual maturity.
