About the author:
Bob Green was born in Treutlen County, Georgia on March 1, 1942, graduated from Treutlen High School in Soperton, Georgia, in 1960, Georgia Southern University in 1964 with a major in math and a minor in physics, and Southeastern Baptist Seminary in 1980 with a masters in divinity. He was a computer programmer and banker from 1965 - 1977 before entering seminary. After seminary, he served as pastor and Georgia Baptist state missionary for 27 years until his retirement to write in 2004. He continues to serve as interim pastor or interim director of missions, takes mission trips, sings in a choir, and has taught English to immigrants.
He is author of several books, most of which are referenced on his website (tabs Casting Out a Little Deeper, In God's Crosshairs, and Crooked Run), and plans to write others. His calling is to strengthen believers in Christ and introducing others to Him within and beyond his lifetime through his books.
His wife of over 40 years is Martha and they have 3 living children, Dawn Inglett ( David ), whose children are Emily and Molly Kate, stepchildren - Hunter and Hayes; Pam Balent (Kevin), with children Jordan and Peyton; and Boyd Green (wife formerly Brooke Thompson), with daughter Bryn and Bethany (deceased). Bob and Martha had twins, Steven and Stephanie, who died a few hours after birth. Martha is a retired elementary teacher after 22 years of service. They have lived near Register, Georgia since 1993.
His hobbies are being with family, writing, wood working, hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening.
